🧮 TI84Calc

TI-84 Plus CE User Manual & Guide

Learn how to perform basic operations, graph 2D functions, use secondary keys, and solve scientific equations.

1. Basic Arithmetic & Clear Screen

To execute normal mathematical computations on the calculator:

  • Use the number pad (0 - 9) and standard arithmetic keys (+, , ×, ÷).
  • Press the green enter button to compute and display the final answer.
  • Press clear to clear the current entry or reset the display.

2. Plotting 2D Graphs

To plot algebraic functions and trigonometric curves:

  1. Type your variable function using the X,T,θ,n key (e.g., x² - 4 or sin(x)).
  2. Press the graph or y= function key located on the top row of the calculator keyboard.
  3. The calculator screen will switch to Graph Mode and display the smooth coordinate plot.

3. Using 2nd (Blue) & Alpha (Green) Labels

Most buttons have secondary functions printed above them in blue or green text:

  • Square Root (√x): Press the blue 2nd key followed by .
  • Trigonometric Inverse (sin⁻¹): Press 2nd followed by sin.
  • Alpha Characters: Press the green alpha key to type letters and variables printed in green.

4. Logarithms & Powers

Scientific calculations are accessible directly through dedicated keys:

  • Base-10 Logarithms: Use the log key (e.g., log(100)).
  • Natural Logarithm: Use the ln key for natural logarithms with base e.
  • Exponents / Power: Use the caret key (^) to calculate exponential values (e.g., 2^5).
